Aromatherapy has long been associated with aroma oil diffusion. But it is not always true. Aromatherapy oils can be used in many different ways and I design oils which can be worn as perfumes. But there are a few important things which you must know before trying our aroma blends.
Essential oils have a unique power, they are used in various skin care products not only for their lovely natural scent but mostly for their therapeutic properties. You can literally find a blend for anything! From sleep treatment to creativity boost, from assistance in meditation and yoga to some more serious medical problems.
Aromatherapy and Skin Problems
Studio Botanica is especially focusing on mind and skin related issues. Because your skin is a direct reflection of your inner state, whether you have stress, mood swings or sleep problems, aromatherapy is there to help.
Because I am trying to focus more on holistic and slow beauty approaches, aromatherapy can be successfully combined to treat some serious skin problems. So in 2017, I am going to create rituals which will also include oil blends to help you relieve some skin conditions. Dull skin, acne, allergic skin – these are just a few examples of the mind related skin problems. So get ready for a new level of organic skin care.
Aromatherapy oils can be used in a few ways: solid and liquid blends. There are pros and cons for each type. But one thing has been proved: oil based perfumes and aromatherapy blends have a better tenacity than alcohol ones. And solid, wax based, blends last even longer. Oil and alcohol based aroma blends can be stored for ages. Their shelf life is very long unlike synthetic perfumes. Why? An experienced perfumer and aromatherapist knows how to formulate a blend which can be stored for years if necessary.
Aromatherapy oils must be used sparingly. You can use them on your neck, pulse points, behind ears, palms, decollete, hair. Usually they do not stain clothes. But I would recommend to avoid applying them to white garments.
All natural based perfumes and aroma oils have to be re-applied more often than synthetic ones. More expensive, rare and high end natural ingredients can make a more lasting scent though. Aroma oils are intended to be used for a certain reason so, most of them will be enough for a couple of hours, since by that time their task will be most likely accomplished. But if you really enjoy the aroma, you can still apply it a few times a day.
It is very important to use oils on clean skin, especially if they come in roll-on bottles. This will help keep the product clean with a long shelf life.
Aromatherapy oils must be kept in a cool, dry place, away from direct sun light.

Aroma oils are highly recommended for mothers, people who have to deal with daily stress situations, creative people, those who practise yoga and meditation, people with sleep problems and simply those who want to find an alternative, natural way to treat some conditions.
